Meet The Doctor
Abel Li
MD, OD
Abel Li, MD, OD is our founder and primary ophthalmologist. Board-certified and fellowship-trained in treating glaucoma at Yale University, he has over 20 years of clinical experience, with over 10,000 surgical cases under his belt. With his vision and steady hands, he’s ready to help everyone see and be seen. In his free time, Dr. Li enjoys running, swimming, hiking, and participating in fundraising sporting events.
Thunya Walker
OD
Thunya Walker, OD, is one of our optometrists. As a board-certified and skilled optometrist, she has over a decade of optometry experience with her doctorate degree from Southern College of Optometry. She has extensive experience performing comprehensive eye exams, ocular health examinations, contact lens fitting, treatment of eye diseases, cataract and Lasik co-management, and pediatric and geriatric care.

Diane,
LDO
Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO)
Diane is our experienced optician. She has been in the business for over 40 years and has found thousands of perfect frames for patients in her career. She has a talent for repairing frames and has many connections in the optical business. Diane has been on the OAW Board for many years and has shared her wisdom to many others. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and golfing.

LDO
Licensed Dispensing Optician (LDO)
Lee Lavigne is one of our experienced opticians. During his twenty-four years in the industry, he has worked for corporate and independent optical offices. He has been an optician, lab technician, office manager, and independent frame representative. He loves being an optician and takes great pride in helping people see their world as best as they can. Currently, Lee is honored to be an OAW Board member.

Website Maintenance
Shannon is one of our technicians; she has been in the healthcare business for the past 3 years. She enjoys working with children and the geriatric population. In her free time, she loves to pursue her passions in photography and sports.
Jennifer
Technician
Jennifer is one of our experienced technicians. She has been in the optometric business for many years. She has experience with a wide range of patients and enjoys working with all kinds of patients.
Deanne
Technician
Deanne is one of our technicians who recently moved to Seattle from Hawai’i. She loves training new contact lens wearers and has been in the field for almost 2 years now. In her free time, she loves being active and is currently training to join the Air Force.

Bellevue Eye Specialists is located in the heart of Old Bellevue, on Main Street. It’s a beautiful, walkable area rich with shopping, restaurants, and nightlife. Make an appointment or just walk in anytime. We help stylish people from Seattle to the Eastside and beyond get their hands on independent eyewear brands from around the world and be seen by excellent eye care professionals.
